DEEKSHA VIDYALAYA

TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

SCIENCE & ENVIRONMENT PROJECTS

The Deeksha trust is currently running an elementary school. It is not a conventional school. Students are to carry out various cultural activities. They are given handicraft exercises and trained to develop creative consciousness.

Various activities are conducted on school premises and sometimes in other places. Teachers & the family members take part along with the students. Free tuitions are alsogiven to the local students.

Making of model of products useful in daily-life is a part of curriculum. The projects are so chosen as to inculcate Environmental awareness among all age groups.

HEALTH SERVICES

The process to build a library inclusive of 'Development of Self-Empowerment' & "To conduct educative awareness from home” has been initiated.

Some books have already been published as per the special ideologies and ethos of the organization.

A few doctors have decided to run a clinic for regular health check-up.

CULTURAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES

GUEST HOUSE

Regular workshops are conducted on art, music, drama, recitation. Children are encouraged to write the script of their drama which they enact later.
Deeksha supports sports activity among its students and local boys & girls. It has started a programme named -'School of Football Excellence' (SOFE).

A few family members of the locality have formed a Swanirvar group to prepare handicraft materials as well as food items which can be sold in the locality. They were given some initial training in these fields to start their activity.

The hut we built originally to organise our activities is now converted into a guest-room. This is meant for the resource persons who may sometime need to stay overnight after the day’s activity.
